Roland J. Barrette, 76, died Tuesday May 20, at his home in Taunton. Born in Stoughton, he was a graduate of Stoughton Schools. He was a resident of Stoughton for many years before moving to Taunton three years ago. Mr. Barrette worked as a custodian at the Helen Hansen School in Stoughton for over 10 years. He retired several years ago. An avid sports fan, he was a member of the VFW in Stoughton.
He is survived by his sons: Mark A. Barrette of Attleboro, Erik R. Barrette of SC, Keith A. Barrette and his wife Claire of FL and his daughter Donna Inglis of Plymouth. He was the brother of Linda Bois of Bridgewater, Elsie McLellan and Robert Barrette both of Easton, Sadie Gilbert and Dorothy Bowker both of Brockton, Arthur Barrette of FL, Elizabeth Taylor Goodman of Dennis and the late Anthony Barrette, Alfred Barrette and John Barrette. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and his former wife Donna M. (Robinson) Barrette of Raynham.
Funeral Prayers will be offered at the VA National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne on Wednesday, May 28 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Omitted. Arrangements by Farley Funeral Home, Stoughton.
