Roger S. Pushee, 87, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 8, 2016. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Coady) Pushee. Born in Rockport, he was a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School. Roger was a Corporal in the U.S. Army and a Veteran of World War II. He was a resident of Stoughton for the past 52 years. Mr. Pushee was a Senior Custodian for Boston Public Schools for many years before retiring 23 years ago. He was active in Stoughton Little League and has a field named after him in recognition of the work he put in for 36 years. He was also a Past President of the American League for Stoughton Little League. He was a member of both the Beaver Brook Beagle Club and the Tri-County Beagle Club.
Mr. Pushee was the father of Roger S. Pushee, Jr. and William Pushee both of Stoughton, Robert Pushee of Middleboro, Eric Pushee of Mansfield and the late Stephen and Paul Pushee. He was the brother of Ursula Lincoln of Sandwich, Shirley Frizelle of Brockton and the late Harold and Albert Pushee. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, March 15 from 4-7 PM. Funeral Service private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Roger's memory may be made to Stoughton Youth Baseball, PO Box 56, Stoughton, MA 02072.
