Roger A. Pearson, 71, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 6 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of Deborah A. (Haynes) Pearson. Son of the late John H. and Ruth F. (Small) Pearson, he was born in Boston, raised in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School. He was a resident of Stoughton for 31 years. Mr. Pearson was a research technician at Polaroid in both Cambridge and Waltham for 27 years before retiring in 1991. He was the Head Deacon and very active at Spring of Water Christian Assembly in Randolph.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Pearson is survived by his daughters, Michelle R. Henson and her husband David of Brockton and Sherice M. Pearson of Stoughton, as well as his grandchildren, Dana Henson and Cierrah Bridges. He was the brother of the late Bruce Pearson. His sister-in-law, Bebe Pearson of Lynn, his uncle, Charles Small, 1 nephew, and many beloved cousins, also survives him.
Visiting Hours will be held from the Spring of Water Christian Assembly, 90 Pleasant St., Randolph on Thursday, February 10 from 6:15-8 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 8 PM. A graveside service will be held at Knollwood Memorial Park, 321 High St., Canton on Friday, February 11 at 10 AM.
