Rocco Joseph Amaru, 41, a resident of Watertown, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, June 28-, 2018. Son of the late Pamela A. Bishop and Timothy W. Amaru, he was born in Orlando, FL and raised and educated in Stoughton. Rocco was a resident of Watertown for the past 10 years. He was a construction owner of RJ Scalzi & Sons in Boston for 9 years. Rocco lived life to the fullest and was loved by many.
Rocco is survived by his daughters, Seanna R. Amaru of Fall River and Tessa R. Amaru of Abington, as well as his siblings, Matthew W. Amaru and his wife Amy of Boston and Lauren B. Scalzi of Sharon. He was the grandson of Bette A. (Jordan) Bishop of Stoughton and the late Paul S. "Boofy" Bishop. He was the stepson of Richard J. Scalzi of Sharon. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Maria Sorensen and her daughters, Olivia and Julia of Watertown, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, July 2 at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 4-7 PM. Interment will be private.
