Roberta M. Zappala

Roberta M. (Farrell) Zappala, 79, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Charles J. Zappala. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in Roslindale and was a graduate of Roslindale High School. She worked as an Administrative Assistant in the buying department of Lauriat's corporate offices in Canton for many years. She was also a dedicated homemaker and mother. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, interior decorating, floral design and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children; Karen M. Lyon and her husband Rick of MD, David C. Zappala and his wife Sarah of Sandwich, John J. Zappala and his fianc Paula Bruillard of Sagamore Beach and Janet A. Zappala of Franklin. Mrs. Zappala was the sister of Leona Hilland of S. Yarmouth and Patricia Kirkpatrick of Brockton. She was the grandmother of Keith Murray, Joshua Zappala and Daniel Zappala and is also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
