Robert F. Yarro peacefully passed away at his home in Brockton surrounded by his beloved family on Sunday, November 19, 2023. Born in Boston, Robert was raised and educated in Dedham and later graduated in 1967 from Dedham High School. He was the youngest son to Mary (Thomas) and Fred Yarro (formerly Yaroszewski).
In his early years, Robert was a drummer and loved rock and roll music. In February of 1971 he married the love of his life and best friend, Michele Masuret. They remained devoted to each for 52 years while raising three daughters. In 1977 they moved their young family to Brockton and have made it home since. A devoted father to three girls, he accepted his fate of being a “girl dad” and took his role very seriously. He never missed a dance recital or cheerleading event. He made sure to capture every moment with his video camera, with way too many VHS tapes to count.
Robert was known for his work as a Real Estate Broker, spending many years with numerous companies until eventually founding Bob Yarro Real Estate. He enjoyed his work and the clients that he served over those many decades. He was also a dedicated member of the Brockton Business Community.
Robert was a gifted handyman that loved to tinker with his cars and projects around the house. He enjoyed working in his garden, growing and eating his favorite tomatoes, and taking trips to Florida with Michele. Robert was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather (Papa, Pops) who loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife Michele Yarro, he is survived by his three daughters, Nicole T. Coelho and her husband Paul of Lexington, Jennifer A. Yarro and her husband Joshua Mackintosh of Milford, and Melissa K. Yarro Cohen and her husband David Cohen of Bridgewater. He was the grandfather of Rafael and Raquel Coelho, Makaius Mackintosh, and Piper, Mila, and Cassie Cohen. He leaves as the treasured brother of Joan M. Yarro and the late John Yarro. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, including his dear godchild Mary (Yarro) White.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday November 28th at 11:30AM with Visiting Hours prior from 10:00 -11:30am. Interment will take place at Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory may be made to the Dana Farber Institute. And if you feel called, plant some tulips in your yard or home in Bob's memory.
