Robert L. Weir

Robert L. Weir, Sr., a longtime resident of Onset, died Saturday, November 26 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a short period of failing health. Born in Brockton, he was raised and educated in Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School. Mr. Weir was a resident of Onset for the past 20 years and previously lived in East Bridgewater. He was a longtime employee of the Angel View Pet Cemetery and Crematory in Middleboro. He was a music lover who enjoyed singing Karaoke, fishing, bowling and spending time on Onset Beach.

Mr. Weir was the father of Robert L. Weir, Jr. and his wife Antoniette of Stoughton and Donna Weir of TN. He was the grandfather of Robert L. Weir III, Nicole, Chelsea and Preston. He is survived by his longtime companion Sheri Canter of Onset. Mr. Weir was the brother of Linda Lord and Judy Rohrbacher both of OR and Joanne Horsman of Brockton. He is also survived by his former wife Elizabeth Mersereau of VA and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 12:00 PM. Visiting Hours prior to the prayers from 10AM-12 PM.
