Robert L. Watson, 50, died Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at the Beth Israel Medical Center in Boston, after a short illness. Born and raised in Stoughton, he attended Stoughton High School. He was a resident of Sagamore for over 6 years, previously living in Stoughton. Rob was the husband of the late Heather M. Wakefield, his high school sweetheart, who died in 2020. He worked for EcoLab in Norwood as a repairman. Prior to working at EcoLab, he was an installer at Bathfitter in Easton and Precision Window in Stoughton for many years. He was a skilled handyman who enjoyed helping family and friends with building and repair projects. He also enjoyed archery, cooking and grilling, fishing the Cape Cod Canal with his friend Hasan Watson, spending time at the beach and spending time with his family and friends.
Rob is survived by his two daughters, Desiree L. Wakefield of Hyannis and Jada C. Watson of Carver. He was the son of Paulette H. (Straughn) Watson of Stoughton and the late Robert L. Watson. Rob was the brother of Farah F. Watson of Somerset, Amanda Watson and Maura Watson, both of Stoughton. He welcomed his beloved grandson Carson Robert Cummings last week. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Rob’s family would like to thank the staff at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for their compassion and professionalism in making Rob’s final wish come true, to hold his newborn grandson.
