Robert J. Warnock, 85, died Saturday, June 23, at his home after a period of declining health. He was the loving husband of 63 years of Elizabeth "Betty" (McGonagle) Warnock. Born in Boston, he was raised in the South End and was a graduate of the Boston Public Schools. Bob was a US Navy Veteran of World War II and served on several submarines, including the USS Raton, the USS Rasher, and the USS Atule. He worked as an Iron Worker for Local 7 in Boston for over 42 years, helping to build some of Boston's tallest buildings and towers. He retired in 1990 enjoying over twenty years of retirement with family and friends. Bob and Betty, along with Betty's sister Nancy and her husband Jack, were a traveling foursome who journeyed to England, the American southwest and made numerous winter trips to Florida. An avid fan of the New England Patriots, Bob enjoyed tending to his yard, spending time with his family and especially spending time with his beloved wife Betty.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children James R. Warnock and his wife Carol of Lincoln,Vermont, Barbara A. Lloyd and her husband Geoffrey of Ottawa, Canada and Janice M. Smith and her husband John H. Smith, Jr. of Norton. He was the brother of Patricia Carr of Michigan and the late John F. and Russell W. Warnock, both of South Boston. He was the loving grandfather of Todd and Erin Warnock, Vanessa and Robert Lloyd, Jayme and Andrew Donndelinger, Jill Donovan, Lindsey and Joshua Smith and the late James Donndelinger. And he was blessed to be the great grandfather of Kosmo and Namid Ruiz-Warnock, Scout Heyns, Mackenzie Donovan, Shawn Michael Donovan and Kaitlyn "Katie-Kate" Donovan.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, June 30 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Bob's memory may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
