Robert E. Storm, 80, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing Home in Stoughton after a short period of failing health. He was the Loving Husband of 60 years of Joan V. (Hohmann) Storm. Born in Boston, he was raised in Dorchester and Quincy and was a graduate of North Quincy High School. Mr. Storm also was a graduate of Bentley School of Accounting in Waltham. Mr. Storm was a resident of Stoughton for over 50 years and was a resident of the Copley at Stoughton Nursing Home for the past 3 years. He worked as an accountant for Raytheon in Framingham and then at Dennison Office Products in Framingham for many years, retiring over 20 years ago. Known as "Stormy" to friends, after his retirement, he worked the lottery counter at Pages Market for many years. An avid fan of all of Boston's sports teams, he was active with Stoughton Babe Ruth Baseball for several years and in his free time he enjoyed fishing, bowling, carpentry and playing cards. Above all, Bob's greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Mr. Storm was the beloved father of James E. Storm and his wife Julie McKay of TX, Susan J. Gair, Stephen J. Storm and his wife Mary and Diane M. McGrath and her husband Paul all of Stoughton, Carol A. Dognazzi and her husband Ronald of Amesbury and Therese A. Barry and her husband Paul S. of Quincy. He was the brother of Richard Storm of FL. He was the cherished "Papa" of 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 4-8 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the Copley at Stoughton Patient Resident Council, 380 Sumner St., Stoughton 02072 for the excellent care Bob received in the field of long term care.
