Robert E. Rosa, 74, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at home on Friday, April 9 after a lengthy illness. Son of the late Albert J. and Mariana (Oliver) Rosa, he was born in Brockton, raised in Bridgewater and graduated from Bridgewater High School, Class of 1954. He was a resident of Stoughton since 1966. Mr. Rosa worked at Footjoy/Titleist in Brockton for 41 years before retiring 8 years ago. He was a Brockton West Little League coach for several years. An avid golfer, he played in the Footjoy Golf League for many years.
Mr. Rosa is survived by his siblings, Loretta J. Medina of Bridgewater, Mary A. Gendron of FL, Donna L. Gregory of East Bridgewater and Daniel J. Rosa of Stoughton. He is also survived by his dear friend Carla Medeiros of Bridgewater and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service will be held at St Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, 103 Center St., Bridgewater on Thursday, April 15 at 11 AM. Funeral Prayers will be offered from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 4-7 PM. Burial will take place at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in Bridgewater. Donations in Robert's name may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.
