Robert J. Parilla, Jr., of Brockton, formerly of Sharon, died January 3, 2013 at age 62. Born in Brockton, he was raised and educated in Sharon and attended Bishop Feehan High School for three years and graduated Sharon High School Class of 1968. He was formerly employed with Metal Bellows in Sharon as a welder, also employed with Cape Cod Lumber and Harte & Hanks in Brockton. Robert was very involved as a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Sharon.
He was the loving father of Rebecca Davis of No. Providence, R.I. and Trisha Parilla of East Bridgewater as well as the devoted son of Imelda Parilla of Sharon and the late Robert J. Parilla, Sr. He was the brother of Joanne Peters of Greenfield and Michael Parilla of Sharon. He was the grandfather of Kayleigh and Alexandra Beardsworth both of Foxboro and is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home 358 Park St. (RT. 27) Stoughton on Monday, January 7th at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Cottage St., SHARON at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours will be on Sunday afternoon from 3-6 PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment will be in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
