Robert A. Mayo, 79, a resident of Tavares, Florida, died peacefully in Tavares on March 3, 2016. He was the husband of the late Jacqueline Mayo. Born and raised in Canton, he was a graduate of Canton High School. Robert resided in Stoughton for many years. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 103 in Dorchester for many years before retiring in 1998 and then moved to Florida. Mr. Mayo enjoyed fishing, camping in Maine and traveling across the country.
Mr. Mayo was the father of Catherine Ienello-Perreault and Robert C. Mayo both of Stoughton and the late Richard K. Mayo. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lauren Ienello and Alexander Mayo. He was the brother of Clifford, Arthur, Edward and Richard Mayo and Maureen Cinnavei.
Funeral Prayers will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, March 17 at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 5-7 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
