Robert J. MacPhee

Robert J. MacPhee, 61, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. He was the husband of Joyce Chamberlin MacPhee and her daughter Karen Overstreet. Son of the late Donald L. and Margaret A. "Peg" (Cotter) MacPhee, he was born in Boston and raised in Norwood. He was a graduate of Norwood High School, Class of 1974 and New York University. Bob was a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force serving from 1976-1981. He resided in Stoughton for the past 22 years. Bob was a prosthetist and orthotist since 1987, spending over 20 years with United Prosthetics in Dorchester. An avid golfer, he was a longtime member of Brookmeadow Country Club in Canton. He was also an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed traveling.

Bob is also survived by his sisters, Anne L. Rogers and her husband Chris and Dianne M. Matheson and her husband Greg all of Medway. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Troy and Jake Hughey and Glenn Overstreet and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, October 23 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-5 PM. Interment will take place at Avon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
