Robert L. "Pinecone" Hardy, 54, died at the Morton Hospital in Taunton on Monday, January 7 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Judith (Karales) Hardy. Born in Boston, he was a longtime resident of Dorchester and was educated in Dorchester schools. He has resided in Taunton for over 10 years. Mr. Hardy was a house painter for many years. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and grandson. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Hardy is survived by his children, Alicia M. Hardy and Amanda M. Hardy both of Taunton as well as his grandson, Cameran Stroh. He was the brother of Judith Palermo, Jane Cotton, Roger Hardy and Susan Hardy all of Stoughton, Andy Hardy of Holbrook, Janet Trainor, Jean Hathaway, Deborah Hardy and Cindy Hardy all of Middleboro, Jennifer Hardy and Franko Hardy both of Quincy and the late Regina "Rae" Davenport, John Hardy and David Hardy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, January 9 at 8 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 5-8 PM. Burial will be private.
