Robert W. Hanna, 80, died at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Wednesday, November 21. He was the husband of 53 years of Phyllis C. (Ferland) Hanna. Born and educated in Attleboro, he was a resident of Stoughton for 51 years. Mr. Hanna was a graduate of Brown University in Providence, RI, Class of 1951. He was a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and the US Navy. Mr. Hanna worked as an Engineer at Raytheon in Bedford for 25 years before retiring in 1975. In his free time, he was a Ham Radio Operator, under the call sign of WA1EEC.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Hanna is survived by his daughters, Leslie A. Hanna of VA, Wendy L. Dorr of ME, Kerrie L. Robichau of Middleboro, Robie L. Peter of Mansfield and Terrie J. Hanna of Sutton. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sarah Robichau, James Robichau, Matthew Peter, Samantha Peter, Danielle Pietro, John Pietro and Nicole Pietro.
Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, November 26 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday, November 25 from 2-5 PM. Donations in Robert's memory may be made to Stoughton VNA, 10 Pearl St., Stoughton, 02072 or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101A First Ave., Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
