Robert W. Gatturna

Robert W. Gatturna, 77, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Friday, June 17. He was the beloved husband of 50 years of Dorothy G. (Karavas) Gatturna. Son of the late Antonio G. "Thomas" and Elizabeth J. (Gallivan) Gatturna, he was born and raised in Boston and educated in Boston schools. He was a resident of Stoughton for the past 43 years. Mr. Gatturna worked for the Town of Stoughton in the Dept. of Public Works for 20 years before retiring 10 years ago.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Gatturna is survived by his loving daughter, Stephanie G. Carrara and her husband Scott of Stoughton. He was the brother of Elizabeth J. Gatturna of Stoughton, Gloria A. Vanaria of Waltham, John F. Gatturna of Holliston and the late Thomas G. and David F. Gatturna. He is also survived by his extended family, Ronald J. "Ronnie Malloy" Boisjolie and his late wife Joan of FL, Frances Goodwin and her husband Phillip Sullivan of Jamaica Plain and Georgette Malloy of Athol, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, June 23 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
