Robert M. Curley, 81, died Sunday, November 18, 2012 at his home. He was the son of the late Martin L. Curley and Catherine E. (McCarthy) Curley. Born in Newton, he was raised and educated in Newton and a graduate of Newton Schools. Mr. Curley earned his Bachelor's Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, his Masters Degree from Boston College and his Doctorate from Pace University. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Curley worked for Raytheon in Needham for many years and later worked for GTE/Sylvania and General Dynamics in Taunton for over 20 years, retiring in 2006. He was a communicant of St. James Church in Stoughton for several years. Bob was beloved by his entire family and will be missed for his kindness and generosity. An engaging conversationalist, in his free time, he enjoyed keeping his yard, traveling to the beach and seashore and swimming.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Joan M. Proctor and his brother Paul M. Curley. He is survived by his nieces and nephews, John Proctor of CT, Carol Proctor Hagen of PA, Paula King and Douglas Curley both of Scituate and Mark Curley of CA. He is also survived by 7 great nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, November 24, at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-7 PM. Interment will take place at Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline. Donations in Bob's memory may be made to the St. James Church Youth Ministry, 560 Page St., Stoughton, MA 02072.
