Robert A. Crean, 68, died Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Son of the late Judith M. (Puljanowski) Crean and Albert E. Crean, he was born, raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton Schools. He continued his education by attending Bridgewater State College, Curry College and was a graduate of Fitchburg State College in Fitchburg. He was a Veteran of the US Army. Mr. Crean was a resident of Easton for over 35 years. He worked at Hal-Mark Systems in Stoughton for several years, retiring in 2008. Prior to that, he was the owner of Abby's Donut Shop in Lakeville from 1984-1993 and was a Shop Teacher at the Hanover Middle School for over 10 years. He was a life member of the American Legion in Stoughton. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, carpentry, playing pool and cards and watching bullfights.
Mr. Crean is survived by his children, Robert A. Crean, Jr of Jamaica Plain and Allyson Crean of Easton. He was the longtime companion of Theresa Russell and was the brother of Abigail Lewis of ME, David M. Crean of Stoughton and the late Judith Patrick and Edwin A. Crean. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.
