Robert B. Connors, 88, a longtime resident of Canton, died at the New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton on Monday, April 23. He was the beloved companion of Barbara Michaud. Born and educated in Boston, he was a resident of Canton for over 40 years. Mr. Connors was an Electrician's Mate in the U.S. Navy Seabees and a Veteran of World War II. He was an electrician with the MBTA for 35 years before retiring over 20 years ago. Mr. Connors was a life member of the VFW Post 1645 and AMVETS Post 1977 both in Stoughton. He was a member of the American Legion in Canton, the Local 103 IBEW in Boston and the Retirees Club with the Local 103 MBTA.
Mr. Connors is also survived by his son, Gerald Connors of CA, Barbara's children and grandchildren and his many friends.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, April 27 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Robert's memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
