Robert C. Connor, 58, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich with his wife by his side on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. He was the husband of Donna M. (Panacy) Connor. Son of Mervis E. (Granger) Connor of Stoughton and the late Robert C. Connor, he was born in Bridgewater and educated in Stoughton schools. Bob was a self-employed carpenter for many years before working as a conveyor mechanic at Martignetti Companies in Taunton. He was the Pit Crew Captain for the Stoughton POPS Marching Band for several years. He enjoyed woodworking and camping, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his daughters, Tess E. Connor and Megan M. Connor both of Stoughton and his Mother. He was the brother of Roberta M. Large of New Hampshire, Beverly F. Doherty of Brockton, Richard T. Swallow, Barbara M. Swallow and Carol L. DiStefano all of Stoughton and the late Elaine R. Mattingly. He was the beloved son-in-law of Angelina Panacy of Stoughton and the brother-in-law of James and Patrick Panacy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
