Robert F. Bean

Robert F. Bean, 89, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Ellis Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Norwood on Friday, March 7, 2025. He was the husband of the late Madeline A. “Chickie” (Matook) Bean. Son of the late John and Dorothy I. (Brickell) Bean, he was born in Boston and raised in Roxbury. He resided in Stoughton for the past 67 years. Bob was a truck driver with the Teamsters Local 25 in Boston for over 40 years before retiring 30 years ago. He enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Florida and the casinos.

Bob was the father of Robert F. Bean and his late wife Joyce of Easton, Dianne Ingemi of North Attleboro and the late Janet M. Bean and Donald J. Bean. He was the brother of Barbara Dwyer of Natick and the late Russell Bahr and Nancy Desmond. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place at Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, March 13 from 10:30-11:30 AM followed by Funeral Prayers at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert‘s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 320 Nevada Street, Suite 201, Newton, MA 02460.
