Richard T. Russell, 45, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 13 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the son of Michael F. and Deanna J. (Rubin) Russell of Stoughton. Born in Brookline, he was educated in Stoughton schools and graduated from Southeastern Regional Technical High School, Class of 1985. He also graduated from Peterson School of Engineering in Woburn. Richard worked as a pipefitter in the area for the past 10 years. He enjoyed charter fishing, the outdoors, nature, animals and bird watching.
In addition to his parents, Richard is survived by his sister, Michele A. Russell of Stoughton and his uncle, Robert H. Rubin of Brookline. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Rhino and several cousins, aunts and uncles.
Family and friends are welcome to visit Richard's family at 56 Independence Ave., Stoughton on Sunday, March 18 between 1-6 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard's memory may be sent to New England Wildlife Center, 500 Columbian St., S. Weymouth, MA 02190.
