During his career, he served in Boston, Watertown, Plymouth, Sturbridge and Milton, before retiring as a Sergeant in 2006. Early in his retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his wife. They took many cruises, as well as several motorcycle trips to the western part of the country.
Dick's greatest love in this world was his family. He was fiercely devoted to his family and friends, and especially adored his three grandchildren. He often said his family and friends were his reason for "being here."
He often considered himself a "Jack of all Trades" and enjoyed his time working on his many projects around his home and garage.
In recent years, he enjoyed getting together with his retired friends from "the job" which they referred to as The Breakfast Club. He also enjoyed classic car cruise nights during the summer months.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Deanna Sullivan and her husband Michael of Norton and Bret Poore of Raynham. He was the beloved Bumpa of Alaina, Kiera and Liam Sullivan.
