Richard W. "Chico" Petti, 67, a resident of Sharon, formerly of Brockton, died at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston on Friday, March 7. He was the husband of Patricia F. (Miller) Petti. Son of the late Albert C. Petti, Sr. and Alice A. (Leach) Petti, he was born in Brockton. He was a lifelong resident of Brockton and a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1964 until moving to Sharon 9 years ago. Chico was the owner and operator of Comb & Clipper Barbershop in Stoughton for over 30 years before retiring 11 years ago. He was an exceptional cook who especially enjoyed cooking for the holidays, but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Chico is survived by his children, Andrew W. Petti and his wife Ericka of Brockton, Laura M. Schiffer of Plainville and Christopher M. Petti and his wife Maria of Raynham, as well as his grandchildren, Kyle, Tyler, Dylen and Lena Schiffer, Adam, Ayla, Nina, Andrew, II and Nathan Petti. He was brother of Albert C. Petti, Jr. and his wife Patricia of N. Easton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Tuesday at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 3-7 PM. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Donations in Chico's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
