Richard H. Mullaly, 87, a resident of Mansfield, died at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Sunday, December 11, 2016. He was the husband of Maria (Sousa) Gomes Mullaly for 29 years. Son of the late John H. and Catherine A. Mullaly, he was born in Arlington and raised in Medford. Richard graduated from Medford High School and Northeastern University. He resided in Mansfield for over 20 years after living in Stoughton for 9 years. Mr. Mullaly was an engineer and worked at several different companies over the years. He enjoyed stamp collecting, reading and playing computer games.

Richard was the father of Richard E. Mullaly and his wife Jill of Enfield, NH, Karen Blass of Eliot, ME, Lynda Mullaly Hunt and her husband Greg of Marlborough, CT and the late John T. Mullaly and Michael E. Mullaly. He was the stepfather of Christina Gomes Orr, Victor Gomes, Jr. and John K. Gomes. He was the brother of Robert Mullaly of Hingham and Joan Longley of Pepperell and is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, December 17 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
