Richard L. "Dick" Martins, 82, died Friday, September 29, 2017 at his home in Brockton. He was the husband of the late Pearl E. (White) Martins. Born in Easton, he was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High, Class of 1954. He was a Veteran of the US Army. Mr. Martins was a resident of Dedham for over 27 years before moving to Brockton in 1993. He worked as a Valve Tester for Masoneilen in Norwood and Avon for over 31 years, retiring in 1998. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and computers.
Mr. Martins is survived by his son Richard L. Martins. Jr. of West Roxbury. He was the brother of Mary Marzuolo of Norwood, John Martin of W. Bridgewater, Robert Martins of E. Bridgewater, Alyce Crowell of Norton, Loretta Martins of Brockton, James Martins of Stoughton and the late Edward Martin, Ernest Martins and Dorothy Martins. He is also survived by 7 step children, 10 step grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, October 5 at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior to the Prayers from 4-7 PM. Donations in Dick's memory may be made to the VFW, 61 Rockland St., Easton, MA 02356.
