Richard W. LaFrance

Richard W. "Turtle" LaFrance, 50, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died at Parkwell Nursing Home in Hyde Park on Friday, October 31. He was the husband of Patricia LaFrance. He was born and educated in Stoughton. He was a member of the U.S. Army from December 1976 to December 1977. Mr. LaFrance was a tree cutter for Treetopping by Billy in Stoughton for several years. He was a friend of Bill W.

He is survived by his children, Nicole E. LaFrance of Weymouth, Richard LaFrance, Jr. of Stoughton and Alicia LaFrance of Bridgewater. He was the brother of Russell LaFrance, Jr. of CT, Lisa Beaucaire of E.Bridgewater, Michael and Steven LaFrance both of Stoughton and the late Jody Bauer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, November 5 from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Turtle's name may be made to American Lung Assn., 460 Totten Pond Rd., Waltham, MA 02451. Burial private.
