Richard J. Hudson

Richard J. Hudson, 71, died Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Brockton after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Barbara R. (Dec) Hudson. Born in Boston, he was a graduate of Boston Schools. Mr. Hudson was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked as a Firefighter for the City of Boston for over 23 years, retiring in 1992. He was a good friend of Bill W. and in his free time enjoyed traveling.

He is survived by his son, Scott Hudson of ME and his stepchildren, Donna Houston and Robert Houston and his wife Suzanne. He was the brother of Lillian Faust of Wareham, Alice Pedro and Barbara Chase both of Stoughton, William Hudson of VA, James Hudson of FL and the late Robert, Ronald, Kenneth, Paul and Henry Hudson, Jean Harvey and Gertrude "Dolly" Gabree. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery, Attleboro. Donations in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
