Richard C. Holmes

Richard C. Holmes, 83, died May 20, 2009 at Copley at Stoughton. He was the husband of the late Anna L. (Frattasio) Holmes. Born in Boston, he was a graduate of Brockton High School and Northeastern University. Mr. Holmes was a resident of Stoughton for over 30 years. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines and was a Veteran of World War II. Mr. Holmes was an electrician with Armstrong World Industries in Braintree for many years before retiring 24 years ago. He was an avid golfer.
Mr. Holmes was the father of Suzanne Holmes of NJ, Paula Holmes of PA, Michael Holmes of OK and Laura Holmes of VA. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, several step-children and many step-grandchildren.
Funeral service for Richard and his late wife Anna will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, June 19 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours prior from 10-11 AM. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Donations in Richard's name may be made to American Heart Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
