Richard "Richie" D. Hill of Watertown, MA, 68, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020 at the Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. He was born in Brockton and lived in Stoughton for 10 years prior to moving to Brockton in 1962. Richie was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1970. He worked in retail for many years, prior to moving on to the MassDOT Merit Rating Board, as a supervisor in Administration, and retired several years later on September 5, 2014. Richie enjoyed traveling when he was younger and in his free time enjoyed a glass of wine with some Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Crackers, and watching the daily news programs.
Richie was the son of the late Kenneth and Margaret (Mahoney) Hill. He was the brother to Kenneth Hill and his wife June of Bridgewater and the late John "Jack" Hill and his surviving wife Dixie, Robert Hill and his surviving wife Maryann, Virginia Liss and her husband Bob, Dianne Fleenor and Debra Meireles and her husband John. Richard had many nieces, nephews and good friends. He was known as a very loving brother, uncle and friend. He was also known as a very good friend and boss to his co-workers.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, a Celebration of Richie's life has been postponed. Burial will be private at Melrose Cemetery in Brockton.
