Richard J. Fontenarosa

Richard J. Fontenarosa, 67, a resident of Avon, died peacefully at home on Saturday, September 8. He was the husband of 21 years of Maureen A. McCauley. Son of the late Joseph R. and Eva M. (Sass) Fontenarosa, he was born in Quincy, graduated from Stoughton High School and also attended Massasoit Community College. He was a resident of Stoughton for 40 years before moving to Avon in 1986. Mr. Fontenarosa was a firefighter in Stoughton for over 20 years before retiring 7 years ago. He also owned Fontenarosa Trucking for over 30 years. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Fontenarosa is survived by his sister, Marie Allberry and her husband Dale of Wareham, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, September 26 at 6 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 3-6 PM. Interment will be private.
