Richard A. "Dick" Feist, 82, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Saturday, January 4, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Margaret (Goode) Feist for 58 years. Son of the late Ernest and Florence (Flaherty) Feist, he was born in Stoughton and raised in West Roxbury and Dedham. Dick was a graduate of Dedham High School. He was a resident of Stoughton since 1980. Dick was a truck driver with the Teamsters Union Local 25 in Boston for over 55 years before retiring at age 74. He was a frequent blood donor with the American Red Cross. He was an avid Patriots and Bruins fan and enjoyed fishing, bowling and playing horseshoes.
In addition to his wife, Dick is survived by his children, Stephen Feist of Foxboro, Mark Feist of Brockton, Laura Lamplough, Richard Feist and Dennis Feist all of Stoughton and Erik Feist of Mashpee. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 1 brother and 3 sisters.
Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, January 9 from 4-7 PM. Funeral Services private. Donations in Dick's memory may be made to the American Red Cross, 101 Station Landing, Suite 510, Medford, MA 02155.
