Richard L. "Dick" Dubois, the founder and owner of The Pool Place in Easton and Abington, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at his home in Easton after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of 59 years of Delores M. (Carey) Dubois. Born and raised in Taunton, he was a graduate of Taunton Schools. He was a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard. In 1967, along with his wife, he founded The Pool Place in Easton and added another store in Abington in 1982. He has had the pleasure of working alongside his son and his daughter for many years. He thoroughly enjoyed his work, meeting and assisting customers and the daily interaction with them. In his free time, Mr. Dubois enjoyed traveling. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Dubois is survived by his son, Richard L. Dubois, Jr. and his wife Karen of Whitman, and his daughter, Doreen M. Agresta and her fiancé John Bergantim of Easton. He was the grandfather of Catherine Paula, Jessica Sulprizio, Alexander Dubois and Kyle Agresta. He was the brother of Irene Silvia of Taunton and the late Roland Dubois and William "Junior" Dubois. He was the great grandfather of Ella Paula and Ava Sulprizio and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
