Rena C. (Hoeg) Phillips, 90, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 20 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the devoted wife of the late Henry R. Phillips; loving mother of Francis H. Phillips and his wife Beverly of NH, Beverly A. Cave and her late husband Philip of Stoughton, Richard A. Phillips and his wife Barbara of Stoughton and Sandra J. Peterson and her husband Arne of Lakeville; beloved sister of A. Everett Hoeg of VA and the late Dorothy Ferry, Nathan Hoeg, Florence Freestone, Evelyn Simmons, Esther Young, Marjorie Anderson, Robert Hoeg, George Hoeg and Edward Hoeg; niece of Eunice Annand of Norwood; adoring grandmother to 15 grandchildren and also survived by 26 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews;

Born in Boston, she was raised in Randolph and graduated from Randolph High School. After her marriage she lived in Avon for several years before moving to Stoughton in 1960. In March of 1955 along with her husband Henry, Mrs. Phillips founded and owned Town Spa Pizza in Stoughton. Second only to her beloved family, the restaurant was her passion. She loved working and seeing all of her customers and friends for nearly 50 years until her retirement 5 years ago.

Funeral Services will be held at the First Congregational Church, 76 Pierce St., Stoughton on Tuesday, February 26 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday from 3-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rena's name may be made to the First Congregational Church Capital Campaign Fund, 76 Pierce St., Stoughton, MA 02072 or the charity of your choice. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
