Raymond Eugene Perkins, 73, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, March 3. He was the husband of the late Janet E. (Atwater) Perkins. Born in Campbellsville, KY, he was educated in Kentucky schools and graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. Mr. Perkins was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was an electrician for Sovereign Bank in Dorchester for over 20 years before retiring a year ago. He enjoyed traveling to Aruba and playing Keno.
Mr. Perkins is survived by his children, Debra E. Miller and her husband Christopher of Stoughton, James J. Perkins and his wife Kelly A. of ME and Norman D. Colson and his wife Gretchen of Stoughton, as well as his grandchildren, Madison, Alexis, Kayleigh and Cameron. He was the brother of Ruth Tungate and Jimmy Dale Perkins both of KY and the late Charles Perkins, Barbara Elders and Doris Deering. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday, March 10 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
