Raymond J. Coan

Raymond J. Coan, 68, died unexpectedly at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of 37 years of Sandra J (Morse) Coan. Born in Norwood, he was raised in Mansfield and was a graduate of Mansfield Schools. He was a longtime resident of Stoughton. Mr. Coan worked as a carpenter for many years, retiring several years ago. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Heidi Childs of Attleboro, Thomas Coan of CO, Steven Coan of Stoughton, Heather Shufelt of Taunton and Sara Coan of Whitman. He was the grandfather of Ayden Shufelt, Nova Cole, Sabrina Weaver and Alaina Machardy.

Private family services were held.
