Raymond D. Arnold, 77, died at the Blue Hills Alzheimer Care Center in Stoughton on Thursday, December 22 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Doris (Pietro) Arnold. Born and educated in Boston, he was a graduate of Northeastern University. Mr. Arnold was an U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of World War II. He was a resident of Stoughton for 40 years. Mr. Arnold was Operations Manager at Plymouth Rubber in Stoughton for 30 years before retiring 9 years ago. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Roslindale. He was a former coach for Stoughton Little League and Pop Warner Football in Stoughton.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Arnold is survived by his sons, Raymond D. Arnold, Jr. of Easton, Clyde B. Arnold of Taunton, Stephen B. Arnold of Norton and Mark A. Arnold of W. Wareham. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, December 28 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. Donations in Raymond's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn., 36 Cameron Ave., Cambridge, 02140.
