Ralph N. Hvoslef, 86, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died December 31, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of Old Colony Hospice. He was the husband of 63 years of Evelyn I. (Drews) Hvoslef. Born and raised in Boston, he was a graduate of Hyde Park High School and Northeastern University. He was a resident of Easton for the past 6 years, after spending over 53 years in Stoughton. He was a WWII Veteran of the US Army. For over 25 years, he worked for United-Carr Fastener Corporation in Cambridge. He worked as Sales Manager for the Carr Fastener Company Division and as Vice President of Dot Machinery Company. His remaining work years were spent in the electronics industry as a manager and purchase contract negotiator. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, playing cribbage, sports and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Jeanne M. Homer and her husband Paul of VA, David P. Hvoslef and his wife Barbara of Mansfield, Karen A. Meneely of Easton and the late Richard S. Hvoslef of Lancaster. He was the grandfather of Jennifer Corsini, Matthew Homer, Eric Hvoslef and Julia Hvoslef. He was the great grandfather of Braeden Homer and Abigail Homer. He is also survived by his brother Arthur of CT and several nieces.
Funeral services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) on Saturday at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-8 PM.
