Ralph O. Brown, Jr., a resident of Brockton for 30 years, died Friday, December 6 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was 84. Mr. Brown was the husband of Rose (Lozo) Brown for 61 years.

Born in Boston on Feb. 16, 1929, Mr. Brown was the son of the late Ralph and Jeanie (Gowdreber) Brown. He was raised and educated in Milton. Mr. Brown graduated from Milton High School in 1947 and enlisted in the US Air Force. He proudly served during the Korean War as an Aircraft Mechanic and was honorably discharged in 1951. He began working at his father's Gas Station and then opened Brown Sunoco in Stoughton. Mr. Brown sold the business in 1985 and began working at On The Spot Gutter Supply of West Bridgewater.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Brown is survived by his children, Robert A. Brown of Brockton, Jane E. Pond and her husband Edward of CA and Ralph O. Brown, III of Brockton. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and his sister, Jeanie E. McRae of MI.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December 11 from 5-7:30 PM in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) Stoughton. Funeral service will take place following the visiting hours at 7:30 PM. Interment will be held at a later date in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne.
