Rachel J. Ribeiro

Rachel J. (Traphagen) Ribeiro, 48, died at the Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood on Monday, November 21 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of Jose B. Ribeiro. Born in Cambridge, Mrs. Ribeiro graduated from Foxboro High School, Class of 1975, received her Associate Degree from Dean College in Franklin in 1989 and her Bachelor Degree from Curry College in Milton in 2001. She was a resident of Brockton for 8 years. Mrs. Ribeiro was an Office Manager at Sentry Co. in Foxboro since 1992 and was the owner of Gourmet Buffet Catering for 2 years. In her free time she enjoyed writing and reading.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ribeiro was the mother of Aaron D. Traphagen and his wife Lauren of N. Attleboro and Maria J. Ribeiro of Fall River. She was the grandmother of Calista and Olivia Traphagen and Giovanni Ribeiro. She was the daughter of Nina (Newton) Weinacker and her husband Ernst of Foxboro and the sister of Laura, Leslie, Kenneth, Nina, Tracy, Michael, Phillip and Ellen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, November 26 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Interment will take place at Melrose Cemetery in Brockton.
