Phyllis E. Pietrafitta

Phyllis E. (Gioiosa) Pietrafitta, 91, a resident of Abington, died at Baypointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton on Thursday, July 28. She was the wife of the late Philip J. Pietrafitta, Sr. Born in Stoughton, she was educated in Roxbury schools and Boston Business School. She was a resident of Hyde Park for many years before moving to Abington 11 years ago. Mrs. Pietrafitta was an administrative assistant at Hyde Park Savings Bank for many years before retiring at age 65. She was a member of the Sons of Italy in Hyde Park. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mrs. Pietrafitta is survived by her children, Philip J. Pietrafitta, Jr. of Stoughton, Dr. Joseph J. Pietrafitta of MN, Alfred J. Pietrafitta of Hyde Park and Catherine T. Demling of Abington. She was the sister of the late Ralph Gioiosa and Ann Magliozzi. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Tuesday, August 2 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Phyllis' memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
