Phyllis C. Hanna

Phyllis C. (Ferland) Hanna, 84, died Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Born and raised in Rhode Island, she was the wife of the late Robert W. Hanna. Mrs. Hanna was a resident of Stoughton for over 50 years. She worked as a Secretary for the Stoughton Public School System for many years, retiring at age 65. Phyllis was a member of the Fieldbrook Young Women's Club and the Stoughton Historical Society, and a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. In her free time, she enjoyed conversing with friends, bird watching, reading and watching the Bruins. She was a wonderful mother, a proud grandmother and a loyal friend.
She is survived by her five daughters, Leslie Hanna of Reston, VA, Wendy Dorr of Machias, ME, Kerrie Robichau of Middleboro, Robie Peter of Mansfield , and Terrie Hanna of Sutton. She leaves seven grandchildren, Sarah (Robichau) Kostas, James Robichau, Matthew Peter, Samantha Peter, Danielle Hanna Pietro, John Hanna Pietro and Nicole Hanna Pietro. She was the sister of the late Doris Reilly.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Tuesday at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
