Philip J. Wuschke, Jr., 52, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. He was the husband of Bonnie M. (Hood) Wuschke for 15 years. Son of Philip J. and Dorothy M. (Platukis) Wuschke of Brockton, he was born and raised in Brockton. He was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1983. He resided in Stoughton since 2001. Philip was a Private 1st Class, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a carpenter with the Local 40 in Cambridge for the past 18 years. Philip was a member of the American Legion Post 368 in South Boston. He enjoyed listening to his old albums, going to the shooting range, camping, and taking trips to Wareham, Boca Raton and Disney World.
In addition to his wife and parents, Philip is survived by his children, Vivian E. Wuschke and Philip J. Wuschke, V both of Stoughton. He was the brother of Scott F. Wuschke and Mark A. Wuschke both of Brockton, Thomas M. Wuschke of Randolph and the late Pamela J. Wuschke. He is also survived by his father-in-law, William J. Hood of Stoughton, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Wednesday, February 21 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Philip's memory may be made to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
