Philip George Osborne, 77, a resident of Bristol, RI, died peacefully on October 31, 2023.  He was the husband of Tracey Marguerite (Broderick) Osborne for 21 years.  He was born in Newport, RI to Mary E. (Reedenauer) and Kendall Stansfield Osborne, late of Newport.  Philip was a graduate of Middletown High School, Class of 1964, where he served as Class President and Captain of the football, basketball and baseball teams.  Philip is a Veteran who served in the US. Army during the Vietnam War era. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Brown University and was a member of Theta Delta Chi Fraternity.  Philip retired as a Vice President of AMICA Mutual Ins. Co. after 31 years of service. He resided in Pine Island, FL for 4 years before settling in Bristol, RI 8 years ago.  Philip was an avid sailor his entire life and notably, raced in the Marion to Bermuda Race twice, finishing 2nd in Class in 1999.  He loved music and enjoyed playing the saxophone and piano.

In addition to his wife Tracey, Philip is survived by his son, Tristan Brady Osborne, his sister Diane (Osborne) Martin of Taunton, MA, 10 nephews, 6 nieces and 29 grand-nieces and nephews    

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 399 Hope St., Bristol, RI 02809 on November 30, 2023 at 11:00AM.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Philip‘s memory may be made to HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904, Attn: Philanthropy.
