Philip A. Cave

Philip A. Cave, 65, died at home in Stoughton on Tuesday, June 5 after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Beverly A. (Phillips) Cave. Born in Great Yeldham Essex, England, he was a longtime resident of Stoughton. Mr. Cave was a graduate of St. Mary's School in Stoughton and Newman Preparatory School in Boston. He was a U.S. Army National Guard Veteran of the Vietnam Era. Mr. Cave was the owner of Imperial Fence in Stoughton for many years. Prior to his retirement, he owned a restaurant, Club Caribe, in the Bahamas with his wife. He was also an employee at Town Spa in Stoughton for several years. He was Past President and coach of Stoughton Men's Softball League. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.

In addition to his wife Mr. Cave is survived by his sons, Peter J. Cave of E. Bridgewater, Brian P. Cave of Middleboro, Michael P. Carpenter, Jeffrey S. Carpenter and David P. Carpenter all of Stoughton. He is also survived by his brother, Kevin P. Cave of Foxboro, his sister, Nicola A. Sherwood of Phippsburg, ME, his mother-in-law, Rena C. (Hoeg) Phillips and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, June 8 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 3-8 PM. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. Donations in Phil's name may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.
