Peter W. Kennedy

Peter W. Kennedy, 67, a longtime resident of Brockton, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, June 29, 2015. Son of the late Robert and Martha B. (Wakefield) Kennedy, he was born in Boston and raised in Stoughton. He was a graduate of Stoughton High School. He was a resident of Brockton for the past 50 years. Peter served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a Vice President at Auto Sound in Brockton, where he worked for 25 years. He was a member of the VFW Post 1645 in Stoughton.
Peter is survived by his children, Shayne Kennedy of Maui, HI, Dawn Kennedy and her husband Rhett Nichols of Los Angeles, CA and Andrew Kennedy of Brockton, as well as his granddaughter, Evan Kennedy-Nichols. He was the brother of the late Michael Kennedy. He is also survived by his former wife, Paulette G. (Joiner) Kennedy of Brockton and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, July 7 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Peter's memory may be made to the MSPCA, 350 S. Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
