Peter E. Fizer, 50, died unexpectedly at his home in Stoughton on Saturday, March 7, 2015. Son of Everett L. and Carolyn J. (Robbins) Fizer of Lincolnville, ME, he was born in Milford and raised in Franklin. He was a graduate of Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School, Class of 1982 in Franklin. He was a resident of Stoughton for the past 10 years. Peter was a machine technician at Osram Sylvania in Central Falls, RI for 3 years, GAF Materials in Millis for 8 years and Precision Metallurgical Corp. in Millis for 12 years. He was a former member of the Teamsters Local 25 in Boston. He enjoyed fishing and ice fishing, boating, camping, woodworking and playing horseshoes and cribbage.
In addition to his parents, Peter is survived by his children, Sean M. Fizer of Attleboro, Justine M. Fizer of Whitinsville and Amanda T. Ferrera-Fizer of Stoughton. He was the brother of Michael W. Fizer of Blackstone, Patricia M. Needham of Franklin and Susan J. Haskell of Warren, ME. He was the nephew of Robert and Joyce Collemer of Franklin and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, March 12 at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 5-7 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter's memory may be made to Amanda Ferrera-Fizer, c/o Diane Ferrera, 7 George Dr., Stoughton, MA 02072 for educational purposes.
