Peter M. Butkevich

Peter M. Butkevich, 39, died unexpectedly at his home on September 1, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Ann "Angie" Peitler of Stoughton. Born in Stoughton, he was raised and educated in Easton, he was a graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School in Brockton where he excelled in Basketball and Track. He also attended Emerson College and UMass Boston. Mr. Butkevich worked for Teamsters Union Local 25 in Boston for many years. He was an avid sports fan. In his free time, he enjoyed playing basketball, pool, swimming, music and reading. He also enjoyed spending time at the beach.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving parents, Bucky Butkevich, Jr. and Patricia (Lucey) Butkevich of Cotuit, formerly of Easton. Peter was the brother of Kerry L. Butkevich of S. Yarmouth, Mark A. Butkevich and his wife Alexis of Scituate and Brian M. Butkevich and his wife Rebekka of Quincy. He was the nephew of William Butkevich of Franklin, formerly of Stoughton. He is also survived by his niece Blythe Butkevich, his nephew Teddy Butkevich and his dog Cheyenne.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, September 8 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Donations in Peter's memory may be made to the MSPCA, 350 S Huntington Ave, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
