Pauline M. (Genga) Medeiros, 73, died Sunday, March 2, 2014 at her home after a long illness. She was the wife of 45 years of John P. Medeiros. Born in Waterbury, CT, she was raised and educated in Derby, CT and was a graduate of Derby High School. Mrs. Medeiros was a resident of Stoughton for over 47 years. She was a homemaker who also worked as a caretaker and cook at the St. James Parish in Stoughton for over 10 years. She was a devoted mother who, in her free time, enjoyed helping her children and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Jennifer L. Johnson and her husband Eric of NC and John E. Medeiros and his wife Susan of Abington. She was the beloved grandmother of Jeffrey M. Johnson, Joanna M. J. Medeiros and Penelope L. E. Medeiros. She was the daughter of Mary J. (Fabrisi) Genga of CT and the late Urbano Genga. Mrs. Medeiros was the sister of Madelyn Burch and Teresa Valinsky both of CT and U. Edward Genga of OH. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, March 7 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-7 PM. Donations in Pauline's memory may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
